W W T D? — What Would Terry Do?

Resources
The top three words for dealing with MCS are Resources, Resources, Resources! Most of your life can be spent looking for resources. If one just had the resources to look for resources it would be nice. Of course it would also be nice if one had the resources to purchase resources.
About the best resource for finding resources was the “Wary Canary” newsletter. The Wary Canary newsletter itself can be purchased by contacting

Resources

Of course, that was before the Internet, now finding resources is like a piece of cyber-cake (or e-cake). At least that’s what those www folks would like to have us believe. Sure there are MCS and Green directories on the internet. Most of them end up sending you nowhere. They aren’t worth the piece of e-paper they’re written on.
I should be kind, because there are some good directories out there. And it’s not easy keeping up on all the links to websites. Especially not when people change their website address or when they go out of business and the website no longer exists. I should know, since I have my own MCS resource directory on the web at MCS Escape – that is until I move it :) And that's another reason for me to be kind. After all, I want people to speak kindly about my website.
Other good MCS directories can be found at:
     http://www.lassentech.com/mcsei.html#rindex
     http://www.immuneweb.org
just to name a few.
But still, even though I have an excellent MCS resource directory on the internet, I have to admit, one of the best places to find MCS resources is in a newsletter such as “Our Toxic Times” which can be ordered by contacting the Chemical Injury Information Network at
     Chemical Injury Information Network (CIIN)
     PO Box 301
     White Sulphur Springs, MT 59645

Another problem when looking for MCS safe stuff is that some of the people who run such stores have good hearts and are into MCS, but they know nothing about running a store or about customer service. Again, I want to be kind just in case I start a store someday. To that end let me mention some of the better resources out there:
www.lifekind.com – known in our house as life-line.com – 800-284-4983 – most of the people working there have MCS.
www.gaiam.com – Green (Environmentally friendly) products – 877-989-6321 – currently in the process of gathering in other well-known enviro companies (such as Real Goods) under their umbrella.
www.abundantearth.com – Probably the biggest resource besides Gaiam – 888-513-2784.

Well, that should get you started. See you later, I gotta go and place another link on my MCS directory website.
